BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Merritt Island Moose Lodge will present “Summer Breeze: A Yacht Rock Experience,” featuring the six-piece Central Florida band on Saturday, October 18, at the lodge, located at 3150 N. Courtenay Parkway.
The sophisticated, melodic soft rock songs of the 1970s and early 1980s have become known in music circles as Yacht Rock.
Allengang Entertainment has the ideal group to reprise the era’s greatest hits. Clad in matching Hawaiian shirts, Summer Breeze will perform hits with insightful lyrics, tight harmonies, and irresistible grooves, featuring songs by stars like Chicago, Toto, the Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, and Christopher Cross.
The audience will also hear 70s hits from Steely Dan, Ambrosia, Boz Scaggs and more.
The upbeat show, set for 7:30 p.m., will soothe your soul and make you wonder why feathered hair ever went out of style.
Seating for the performance is at round tables of eight persons. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase at the full liquor bar. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and $40, available through ShowTickets.live. For more information about the show, call 407-252-3536.

Yacht rock, originally known as the West Coast sound, is a broad music style associated with soft rock– one of the most commercially successful genres from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. Yacht rock’s clean vocals focus on light, catchy melodies.
The term was coined in 2005, connecting the music with the popular Southern Californian leisure activity of boating. What was once considered a pejorative term by music critics is now a hugely popular tribute genre.
Summer Breeze: A Yacht Rock Experience has graced stages not only in Central Florida but on cruise ships and performing arts centers all over the country. Band leaders Sammy and Shannon Pawlak have been professional musicians for over 35 years. For bass guitarist Sammy, performing at the Merritt Island Moose Lodge is about coming full circle.
“I’m a graduate of Merritt Island High School, and this is a homecoming for me,” said Sammy. “The very first gig I did as a 16-year-old was with a local band at the Merritt Island Moose. This time, we are bringing our A game.”
Stan Allen, show promoter and CEO of Allengang Entertainment, knows that the songs of his Summer Breeze show will melt cares away and transport the audience to a more carefree time.
“There were so many memorable songs from the ’70s and ’80s,” said Allen. “And this band has a huge repertoire of great music that they bring out for every show. To get in the perfect frame of mind, order a piña colada from the bar and you’ll be all set.”
Allengang Entertainment will be presenting additional tribute shows at Merritt Island Moose Lodge 2073 throughout the remaining months of 2025. Upcoming performances include a tribute to Fleetwood Mac and an exceptional holiday performance. The Moose Lodge venue features a 7,200-square-foot ballroom equipped with new stage lighting and a state-of-the-art sound system.
