By Space Coast Daily // October 29, 2025
Those whose homes sustained damage are encouraged to report it

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA – Brevard County Emergency Management is reminding residents to take precautions while cleaning up after recent flooding, as standing water and debris may contain sewage, chemicals, or other harmful materials.
Officials advise wearing gloves, boots, and protective clothing when handling debris or cleaning affected areas. Residents should disinfect all surfaces with bleach or a similar cleaner and dispose of items that cannot be properly sanitized.
Frequent handwashing is also recommended to reduce the risk of contamination.
Those whose homes sustained damage are encouraged to report it through the county’s online form at CrisisTrack. Submitting one report per address helps guide local and state recovery efforts.
Emergency Management continues to stress safety and patience as the community works together to recover from the weekend’s flooding.
