Cocoa Beach Centennial Celebration Kicks Off Tonight With Drone Light Show Spectacular at City Hall

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — The City of Cocoa Beach is set to commemorate a century of heritage, resilience, and charm. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration with the Centennial Celebration: Drone Light Show Spectacular, set for Saturday night from 8:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Cocoa Beach City Hall, 2 South Orlando Avenue.

The show will feature hundreds of drones creating dazzling formations to celebrate 100 years of Cocoa Beach history. The drone show is part of a week-long celebration for Cocoa Beach’s centennial anniversary.

Other activities planned for Saturday include a Pickleball Tournament, a free swim at the city pool, and a Street Party with vendors, food trucks, and live music. You’re welcome to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the show.

Saturday, July 5th, kicks off with an exciting indoor Pickleball Tournament at The Rec Center and a free swim at the city pool.

In the afternoon, you won’t want to miss the Centennial Celebration Street Party—a lively event packed with unique vendors, delicious food trucks, electrifying live music by Hot Pink, a dazzling drone show, and so much more!

Founded on June 5, 1925, by visionary Gus Edwards, Cocoa Beach has grown from a quiet beachside town into an iconic community shaped by history, innovation, and a love for the sea.

The 1960s Space Race launched Cocoa Beach onto the global stage, becoming a home and playground for astronauts and dreamers alike. From legendary surfers riding our waves to Jeannie’s magical adventures, our shores have been the backdrop for countless stories.

A coloring contest is open to Cocoa Beach residents, and the winners will receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card and their image will be displayed in City Hall. One winner will be selected for each age group:

● 4 years and under
● 5 – 8 years old
● 9 – 12 years old
● 13 – 17 years old

Cool off with an Open Swim Session at the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your friends and family for a relaxing break from the festivities at the beautiful Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center.

● Cocoa Beach Independence Day Parade by Brevard Veterans Memorial Parade beginning at 10 a.m.
