TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – Florida State Head Coach Mike Norell announced this week that former Cocoa Tiger Richie Leonard IV will miss the remainder of the season due to an undisclosed injury.
Leonard, a 2019 Cocoa High School graduate who transferred this offseason from the University of Florida, missed last weekend’s loss to SMU but had been serving as Florida State’s starting left guard.
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Leonard started all 12 games at left guard for the Gators in 2023, leading the offensive line in snaps with 755 and grading at 65.9 per PFF.
Leonard played in 31 total games for UF over three seasons of action, starting 14 of them.
He hosted his first annual free youth football camp on May 18 at Cocoa High School.
