Merritt Island Mustangs Volleyball Defeats Viera in Straight Sets to Capture Cape Coast Conference Title

Mustangs capture 17th Cape Coast Conference championship in the last 20 years

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island Mustangs volleyball team defeated the Viera Hawks to capture the Cape Conference Championship on Wednesday.

Merritt Island defeated Viera in straight sets, 25-13, 25-16, and 25-14 to win the Cape Conference title.

Led by Head Coach Angie Patrick, this marks the 17th Cape Coast Conference championship in the last 20 years.

Merritt Island has three matches remaining in the season. The Mustangs will be home to close out the season as they host Satellite, Viera, and Bayside.

The Mustangs have a record of 13-3.
