Now Officially On Patrol: Officer Hofmann and K9 Moose Ready to Serve and Protect Palm Bay

K9 Moose earned local and national-level certifications for narcotics detection

This duo has successfully completed 480 hours of Basic Patrol Canine School, mastering obedience, apprehension, tracking, building searches, area searches, and article searches—all while training through Florida’s demanding conditions. BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department introduced Officer Hofmann and his partner, K9 Moose.

“This duo has successfully completed 480 hours of Basic Patrol Canine School, mastering obedience, apprehension, tracking, building searches, area searches, and article searches—all while training through Florida’s demanding conditions,” said a department spokesperson.

Following their initial training, they completed an additional 160 hours of drug detection training, during which K9 Moose earned local and national-level certifications for narcotics detection.

Now officially on patrol, Officer Hofmann and K9 Moose are ready to serve and protect Palm Bay.
