BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – When the world shut down in 2020, Gloria Dickson was just opening a new chapter in her life. Starting a real estate career at the height of COVID-19 might sound daunting, but for Gloria, it was an adventure — one that would lead her to find purpose, passion, and a deep connection to Florida’s Space Coast.
“I definitely started this journey from the wrong perspective,” Gloria laughs.
“Houses were flying off the shelf like toilet paper during hurricane season. I thought, ‘Wow, this is very easy! Why didn’t I think of it sooner?” What began as a whirlwind soon turned into something deeper — a lifelong calling to help people find the place they truly belong.

A Journey Across Continents
Gloria’s story begins far from the beaches of Cocoa and Merritt Island. Born in Russia, she emigrated to New York at a young age and grew up surrounded by the city’s creativity and energy.
While attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, she met her husband, a pilot with a shared dream of a new beginning in a warm, welcoming place.
That dream led them to Florida’s Space Coast, affectionately known among aviators as “Pilot Island. “We first moved to Merritt Island twelve years ago and later to Cocoa Beach, right before our second child was born,” Gloria recalls.
Today, the Dicksons are happily raising their two children — an 11-year-old daughter and a 7-year-old son — along with their four-year-old lab and rescued five-year-old cat. The family’s weekends are often spent outdoors, learning to surf or exploring the area’s natural beauty.
“Brevard County was the right choice for our family,” Gloria says. “It’s safe, full of top-rated schools, and the great outdoors is always calling.”

It’s hard not to fall in love with Brevard County when you hear Gloria describe it. From its tranquil waterways to its vibrant history, she paints a picture that feels like an invitation to live a richer, fuller life.
“The Intracoastal waterways are full of life — perfect for fishing or cruising at sunset,” she says. “It’s not as densely populated as other major cities, but it’s still close to Orlando, the airport, and the theme parks.”
What she appreciates most is the region’s balance — a place where history, innovation, and community coexist. “From prehistoric settlements to space exploration, this area has always been about discovery,” she smiles. “Never a dull moment here.”
