Eight Brevard County high school football teams are headed to the FHSAA playoffs, marking another strong postseason showing for Space Coast programs.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eight Brevard County high school football teams are headed to the FHSAA playoffs, marking another strong postseason showing for Space Coast programs.

Cocoa, Merritt Island, Eau Gallie, Rockledge, Heritage, Melbourne, Viera, and Titusville all secured playoff berths and will take the field next Friday night in their opening-round matchups.

Cocoa, a perennial state contender and three-time defending state champion, will host Newberry, while Merritt Island welcomes Titusville in an all-Brevard clash.

Eau Gallie hosts Tavares, and Rockledge travels to Zephyrhills in a tough road test.

Heritage faces powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas, Melbourne takes on Armwood, and Viera hosts Riverview to round out the county’s slate.
