The City of Melbourne has officially rescinded the precautionary boil water notice that was issued on October 23 for residents and businesses in the West Eau Gallie Boulevard area.

The notice had been implemented as a safety measure following hydrant repair work in the neighborhood.

The affected addresses included West Eau Gallie Boulevard at 2800, Breeze Lane from 1347 to 1535, North Breeze Road from 2750 to 2816, Breeze Ridge Road from 2767 to 2810, South Breeze Road from 2767 to 2827, and Sea Breeze Lane from 1446 to 1530.

Following the completion of repairs, city officials conducted a bacteriological survey, confirming that the water now meets all safety standards and is safe for consumption.
